I have been helping families in the Bay Area as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1998 (CA License LCSW #18841). I came to California when I was in 4th grade.  My parents had just divorced and my Mom's family was here. I survived the often troubled waters of my broken family, and still wonder how I didn't succumb to the treacherous waves that washed over us. As soon as I began to feel hope, I made the decision to make it my life's work to help others like me.  I thrived partly because of the professional help I got, partly due to my stubborn will, a resilience I didn't know I had, and from my commitment to helping others.

Earlier in my career I worked in Adolescent Residential Treatment and in Child Protective Services.  Later, after starting my own family, I provided Clinical Supervision  for Community Health Awareness Center (CHAC), and directed the on-site counseling program at Palo Alto High School for Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS).  I became a Divorce Mediator and opened my private practice in 2010.

I have a Masters of Social Welfare (MSW) from the University of California at Berkeley, and a BA in Clinical & Counseling Psychology from San Jose State University. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts (AFCC), and the Collaborative Practice Silicon Valley (CPSV).

Outside of my career I enjoy traveling, live music & theatre, running, yoga, and spending time with my friends and my family: husband, 2 teenagers, 2 pugs, a cat and a snake.
